Personal Technology Plan
As a leader in the educational technology realm, my classroom will personify the saying, “Change with a difference” in regards to educational technology. (On a side note, when one describes “change with a difference”, it simply means that the technology used within the classroom is creating meaningful, dynamic experiences that the student could not have gained without its use. The antithesis of this statement is, of course, “Change without a difference”, or, “Whether you use technology or not, you still get the same point across).
The technology will provide the second language learner within my classroom (be it English as a Second language, or Spanish as a Foreign Language) with three (3) primary goals:
1) To construct projects and performances that are meaningful in nature
2) To generate students who are not afraid to dive into a new technology and have the knowledge and
initiative to “learn the ropes” of the technology by themselves, without support
3) To bring authentic language and realia into the classroom context
