Major Activities
I.
Unit Introduction (Lesson Plan 1)
- Students will begin a KWL chart about
Venezuela. First, they will brainstorm what they know, then what they would like to know by the end of the unit
- Students will see pictures or a video about
Venezuela and learn basic facts about the country

V. Jeopardy (PowerPoint Lesson Plan)

VI. Begin Ch. 4 on Food (Learning Centers Lesson Plan)
a. Students will play a game with Por and
Para. One student will the the "Host" and have a list of sentences with por or para. Students will then have to buzz in the correct answer.
b. Students will do an activity where they will work on the grammar focuses of this unit
c. Students will work with me the teacher, and we will be having a conversation about food and how it tastes, we will be focusing mainly on the new vocabulary.
d. Students practice contextualized vocabulary as a review game.

a. Students are introduced to their final project which will combine technology and topics from the unit
